Find out if the required non-elective education has been completed, the total hours of education completed for the renewal cycle, and a list of the courses that are being credited for your renewal using the Texas Real Estate Commission’s new Renewal Education Information page. The information is displayed in real time from the commission’s database.
Visit TREC’s website to see a video walkthrough and more details about the new feature, which is currently available for agents and brokers within 90 days of their renewal date.
Nice to see the information – but I do not understand why it is visible only 90 days before renewal? Why not show the information as due before the next renewal date? 90 days may not be enough time and full term allows more strategic planning.
Also, I suggest that the “total agent hours” be added. Show the cumulative hours that agents have invested in their own education!

It’s a courtesy. All licensees should know what classes they need and when they need to take them prior to the expiration of their license.

I wanted you to know that although for now, this tool is only available for those within their renewal period (90 days before expiration) the tool is already being worked on to expand to all license holders. That’s great! I agree that not knowing the info ’til 90 days out is less than ideal for planning. Thanks for working to expand it ASAP.
I think this is wonderful. I take classes throughout the license term so there is no rush at the end. This process will let me know if I am missing a required legal or ethics class. Great job to TREC.
That is great however it would be better if it were available at least 6 months prior to renewal date.
