Q.I've heard that ZipFormOnline is now available for Texas REALTORS®—true?

A. Yes, and, like ZiipFormDesktop, it's included in your annual TAR dues. Now you can manage, print, and e-mail forms from anyplace there's an Internet connection. To get set up with ZipFormOnline, visit TexasRealtors.com.

Q. I understand that as a Texas REALTOR® I can download ZipForm for free from TexasRealtors.com. But what if I don't like Internet downloads and prefer to install from a disc?

A. You can. CDs of the software program are available to TAR members for $19.95. Call ZipForm sales and customer service at 800/383-9805.

Q. Where can I get answers to my specific questions about using ZipForm?

A. You might try ZipForm’s own compilation of frequently asked questions (and answers) available online.

Also, ZipForm provides User's Guides in PDF format.

Q. What is the ZipForm technical support phone number?

A. It’s 586/293-0642.

Q. OK, but I’d rather deal with someone at TAR. Isn’t there someone there who knows ZipForm?

Q. Is there an online tutorial for learning how to use ZipForm?

A. You’re in luck; it’s at www.learning.net/cat/courseinfo.html?ID=CAR_003_WinForms. The tutorial is free, but you do have to register.

Q. What happens when it’s time to renew my free ZipForm subscription?

A. When ZipForm is within 30 days of expiration, the "ZipForm 5.0 Registration" screen appears when the program is launched. Follow the instructions below to renew your ZipForm:

  1. Click the "Renew Now" button.
  2. Complete the renewal form and submit.
    IMPORTANT: The renewal form returns a Web page just like the first time you installed ZipForm. You will be given the option to "Download Now" on this page. Ignore the download. You do not need to download the software again. Write down your redemption code. (The redemption code will also be sent to your e-mail account.)
  3. Minimize the ZipForm Web page so you can see the "ZipForm 5.0 Registration" screen again.
  4. Click on the "Re-Activate Now" button.
  5. Select the "Via Internet" button. Type your redemption code in the box at the top and hit "Next." ZipForm will then authorize your redemption code. When your redemption code has been authorized, you will receive a message that says "Thank you for registration."

Note: This update in some instances causes your libraries to become "disabled" or appear as if they are missing. Don't worry; they are still there. To make sure your settings are correct after you install the update and renew, read ZipForm's update information.

Q. What about other real estate forms vendors operating in Texas?

A. TAR's agreement with REFormsNet is nonexclusive. TAR will continue to license the TAR forms library to other form-fill vendors.
