How to become a Texas REALTOR®

Join at the local level

The vast majority of Texas Association of REALTORS® members join through a local association. By joining a local REALTOR® organization, members also gain membership in the Texas Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Join directly

If you are a licensed real estate broker and your office is located in a county where no local association has jurisdiction, you may apply for direct membership to the Texas Association of REALTORS®. Direct members receive the same benefits and are bound by the same policies as members who have joined through a local association.

Join as an affiliate

Affiliate memberships also are available. Affiliate members join as a company at the local level. These members enjoy some of the same benefits in the state association, including access to money-saving discounts, and networking and sponsorship opportunities.
